Dear Diary,

I hope you are well. I actually feel amazing! I have been at home for almost a month now, but I am glad that I am a very patient person. It is a bit depressing to know that I am unable to get close to people both literally and physically, but I can still love myself even though I shall never marry and have my own children. I love writing because I enjoyed reading Anne Frank ’s diary at the age of thirteen, and it is hard to believe that I will be twenty-nine in a few more months. I really am different from other people, and it is okay. I will enjoy every day of my life instead of dwelling on past mistakes. Thousands of people have already died because of the coronavirus, but I am incredibly lucky just to be alive. I do not have to be a prisoner of my past. This moment really is not the last. I write because I love having words flow from my mind, and I am grateful for being published. I write because I think, I am who I am, and I love being a writer. Thank you for enjoying my words!

With gratitude,
Alex Andy Phuong
